Aquatic Caecilian

Place of Origin and Range Typhlonectidae, also known as Aquatic caecilians or rubber eels, are a family of Gymnophiona amphibians found east of the Andes in South America
Description They are viviparous animals, giving birth to young that possess external gills.
Adult Size Can grow up to 39 in ( 100 cm )
Accommodation A semi-aquatic, gently filtered aquarium with live plants, with or without large gravel will suffice.
Tank must be very securely placed. These are escape artists.
Lifespan Can live up to 5 years
Feeding / Diet Eats worms, insects, wax worms, crickets, and some pelleted fish foods are accepted.
Breeding Breeding occurs in the rainy season, which extends from about December/January to July/August.
