Origin | The Ringamåla cattle are an old Swedish farm breed originating in the village of Ringamåla in the southern Swedish county of Blekinge. They are descended from Swedish Red Cattle and Ayrshire cattle. |

Other Considerations | Ringamåla cattle have been kept isolated from other dairy breeds for many years. Today, there are approximately 50 to 100 head of Ringamåla cattle and the small gene bank herds are strictly managed by the Peasant Cattle Society (Swedish: Föreningen allmogekon). |
