Place of Origin and Range | This species is native to North America, where it is found mainly in the south eastern parts of the continent. Anoles are most abundant on the Atlantic Coastal Plains in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, and on the Gulf Coast in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas and have been found as far north as southern Tennessee and south eastern Virginia. In the Carolinas they are found in the coastal plains and southern piedmont of North Carolina, but throughout South Carolina,[8] while in Georgia they are widespread except in the Blue Ridge region. |

Morph Patterns Available | Yes |
Adult Size | Can grow up to 6 in( 15cm) |
Accommodation | They are very active and predatory lizards, requiring a large amount of space to run. They prefer high temperatures, up to 105–110 °F (41–43 °C) at their basking spot and 80 °F (27 °C) elsewhere in their habitat during the day. Grasses and lots of things to climb on. |

Feeding / Diet | The Anole's diet consists of small insects such as crickets, grasshoppers, spiders, and other arthropods. It also eats grasses. Many people who keep these lizards as pets feed them meal worms, grubs, and maggots, and small crickets. Meal worms though can be tough on their digestive track due to hard exteriors. |
