Origin Acıpayam is a breed of domesticated sheep originated in Turkey. They are a dual-purpose breed (wool and meat). The Acıpayam originated from Assaf crossed with Awassi and Dagliç ewes.
Purpose Meat, Fiber
Characteristics Rams average 65 kg (140 lb) and ewes 60 kg (130 lb) at maturity. Both have white, coarse wool.
