Two Lined Salamander
Place of Origin and Range | The Two-lined salamander is a species of salamander in the Plethodontidae family found in Canada and the United States. |
Description | This salamander is yellow or yellowish-brown, with two black stripes running down the back which tends to break up after the base of the tail. The flanks are mottled greyish or brown. The belly is pale yellowish, nearly transparent. There are four toes on the fore feet and five toes on the hind feet. On the side of the body are 14–16 costal grooves. |

Accommodation | A semi-aquatic, gently filtered aquarium with live plants, with or without large gravel will suffice. |
Lifespan | Can live up to 25 years |
Feeding / Diet | Newts eat worms, insects, wax worms, crickets, and some pelleted fish foods are accepted. |
Other Considerations | Injuries can happen when feeding newts in a colony. Feed separately when possible. |
