Beauty Snake

Place of Origin and Range Native to East and South east Asia. Taiwan, China, Burma, and Thailand. Otherwise known as the Chinese Beauty Snake.
Description This snake is yellowish-brown to olive. With a busy pattern of blotches and crossbars. The dorsal surface of the head and neck is uni-colour. The markings on the back almost always consist of two pairs of black rounded spots, which join together. From each eye there is a dark stripe, which extends to the corners of the mouth. The upper jaw scales are yellowish-white.

Adult Size Can grow 5-7 feet(1.5- 2.1m)
Accommodation A well ventilated rain forest terrarium with lots of branches as thick as the snakes diameter for climbing with typical rainforest settings. High humidity 60-80%, and a large dish for bathing and soaking in to improve shedding. Always include a day basking spot at 80'F(27'C). Along with multiple hiding spots.
Lifespan Can live 12-15 years
Feeding / Diet Like most snakes, the Beauty snake can eat ,mice, rats, and chicks. All depending on the availability of feed and the size of your snake. Some newborns snakes will also readily eat tree frogs and lizards.
Other Considerations Snakes are relatively hardy low maintenance animals when kept in the correct environment, and require little day to day care other than feeding and cleaning out the tank as required. However, like all animals, they can still become sick or injured despite our best intentions to prevent this.
