Accommodation | This snake lives in a variety of habitats including grassland, forest, and hillsides. High humidity(60-80%), branches for climbing. A hide to help regulate temperature along with a day basking spot at 80'F(27'C). Always include a dish big enough for bathing. |

Feeding / Diet | Prey includes rats, mice, moles, other small mammals and bird's eggs. These snakes typically eat mice. |
Breeding | After mating has taken place in spring, clutches of 3-24 eggs are laid in June-August. The eggs are deposited in sandy burrows or under large rocks or logs and hatch after 64-79 days of incubation. |
Other Considerations | Snakes are relatively hardy low maintenance animals when kept in the correct environment, and require little day to day care other than feeding and cleaning out the tank as required. However, like all animals, they can still become sick or injured despite our best intentions to prevent this. |
