Origin This is a rare breed is reared under extensive husbandry condition in mountain areas of the northwest regions of Greece. The Greek Shorthorn is of the Iberian type
Purpose A meat animal also used for draft purposes.
Appearance They have small heads and they are usually grey-blond to dark brown in colour. The colour of the nostril, the mucous of the mouth and the hoofs is usually black.

Cows Average Weight 200 kg (441 lbs)
Bulls Average Weight 300 kg (661 lbs)
