Italian Wall Lizard

Place of Origin and Range The Italian Wall Lizard, Ruin lizard, or İstanbul lizard is a species of lizard native to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Italy, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia and Switzerland, but has also been introduced to Spain, Turkey, and the United States.
Description These lizards have a flattened head and body that allow fast access to narrow rock crevices. They are small lizards with green backs, and spotted blue grey sides.

Accommodation Its natural habitats are Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, rocky areas, rocky shores, sandy shores, rural gardens, pasture land, plantations and urban areas. Temperatures of 79 °F (26 °C) to 95 °F (35 °C) and must have appropriate sources of UVB and UVA lighting, or else their bodies cannot produce vitamin D that promotes calcium absorption, which can result in a metabolic bone disease that can be fatal. A large enclosure and access to fresh water.
Lifespan Can live 2-5 years
Feeding / Diet This species eats a variety of insects, the occasional blossom, and a fruit-honey mixture will be accepted.
