Marbled Velvet Gecko

Place of Origin and Range They are referred to by the common name velvet geckos. Most of the species occur in northern and eastern Australia, with further isolates in the arid zone (Pilbara, Central Ranges and Flinders Ranges).
Description The markings of older velvet geckos appear less defined, whereas young individuals display a series of striking bluish grey and yellow bands on the body. Angular head, enlarged toes, and a short tapered tail.
Morph Patterns Available Yes
Adult Size Can grow up to 7 in (18 cm)
Accommodation Most geckos prefer warm habitat with lots of shade and hides. Mild humidity and lots of branches for climbing. Provide a small water dish and mist daily. Cover the sides of the cage when possible to prevent injury to your gecko from running into glass.
Lifespan Can live 10+ years
Feeding / Diet Feeds on a variety of insects and fruit.
Breeding Two soft shelled eggs form a typical clutch. Hatching at 86'F(30'C) takes two months. Their free-breeding nature means that although Australian in origin, these geckos are widely available elsewhere in the world.
