Monkey Tailed Skink

Place of Origin and Range Native species only on Solomon Island in the South Pacific.
Description The Solomon Islands skink or Monkey Tailed Skink has a long, slender body, strong, short legs, and a triangular shaped head with small round eyes. The skink has a strong crushing jaw but the teeth are small and used for eating plant material. Its prehensile tail helps it maneuver from branch to branch with ease.
Morph Patterns Available Yes
Adult Size Can grow up to 24 in ( 60 cm)
Accommodation High humidity (between 60-80%), branches for climbing and sun bathing. A minimum of two hides, one warm and a cooler one. A day basking lamp(basking spot 80'F(27'C)or some snake owners prefer under tank heating. Also you want to include a bathing dish big enough for your skink to climb in without overflowing.
Lifespan Can live up to 25 years
Feeding / Diet Mainly insects, fruits, blossoms, and prepared skink diet.
