Place of Origin Italy
Origin The Reggiana is found in the province of Reggio Emilia in Italy
Purpose The milk from this breed is popular for cheese making due to the high levels of k-casein B allele in its milk.
Appearance They are red to yellow-brown in colour with light muzzle. Adult males with an average wither height of 145 cm and adult females are 140 cm respectively.
Horns Short black-tipped horns.
Cows Average Weight 500 kg (1,102 lbs)
Bulls Average Weight 650 kg (1,433 lbs.)
